Leonard Tsai Memorial Scholarship in Electrical Engineering

Leonard Tsai memorial scholarship was established in 1979 to recognize annually an outstanding and deserving student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Mississippi, while at the same time to honor in perpetuity the talents and the memory of the late Leonard Tsai, a gentleman of the highest caliber who positively influenced the lives of all with whom he came in contact.

Late Dr. Leonard Tsai served for a number of years the cause of education in the field of electrical engineering in the State of Mississippi in his position as Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and exhibited his talents in a professional manner. The LEONARD TSAI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING shall be awarded at times deemed appropriate and in an amount appropriate and consistent with the monies available in the fund as determined by the Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering in cooperation with his faculty members and the Department of Financial Aids at the University of Mississippi. The recipient shall be an undergraduate electrical engineering major who exemplifies the ideals of the late Leonard Tsai, including a love of fellow man, superior insight and vision, and a dedication to the field of electrical engineering as a vocation.
