How Can I Prepare?

Electrical Engineering is the study and use of technology and applied science involving electrical phenomena. Therefore, it is important that a prospective student have an interest in mathematics, science, and physics. A student with the capability of doing ‘B’ or higher-level work in high school in these technical areas is qualified to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) at the University of Mississippi. Applicants are expected to have high school coursework units including 4 in English, 4 in mathematics, 3 in science, 3 in social studies, 2 in advanced electives.
